We've had 27 such messages in a couple of days. It's a sentiment many of
us share; and an occasional original posting suits a lot of us. But most
*replies* to such postings surely don't belong on a list whose purpose is
to keep one another up-to-date with Info Infrastructure policy matters.
Moreover, I know from comments passed by several people to me IRL that the
excess traffic is scaring some people off. Because link-content has
important policy implications, its lurkers are not excess baggage, but
rather a very important audience.
