The Fin reports him as having changed his plea in the Federal Court last Friday,
so that he is now pleading guilty to one count of unauthorized data insertion.
However Stevens told the Fin Rev that the hack was the cyberspace equivalent of
graffitizing a wall with a spray can.
If it were only so simple. I was one of a number of people more than a little
inconvenienced by the theft and publication of credit card numbers from the
Ausnet server which occurred at the same time.
I suppose the fact that Stevens was happy to gave his photo run with the story
and that he clearly shows little remorse for his actions suggests that he does
not see himself as being socially dysfunctional, even now that he is an admitted
liar.
Self-righteous hypocrite would surely also not be an inccurate description of
someone whose sig file has on a number of occasions purported to profess a
Christian faith.
