Just an aside on this debate. Internet style standard setting has even come
to my own profession of accounting. The American Institute of CPAs has
recently launched its WebTrust (SM) ecommerce assurance service
(http://www.aicpa.org/webtrust/index.htm) and the proposed standards which
underpin WebTrust (http://www.aicpa.org/webtrust/princrit.htm) are styled
