The ACCC will shortly be part of an International Internet Sweep day where
we and 30 other agencies around the world will sweep the internet looking
for scams.
I am asking for your assistance in this project in two ways:
1. URGENT
That if any of your clients that have been caught out by scams over the
internet, that they contact me immediately. We are currently directing
extra resources to look at these matters and we are looking for people who
could appear on TV and warn other consumers about the dangers; and
2. SUSPECT SITES
If your clients are concerned about any sites that they pass these
complaints on to me.
