Robin to Sydney - time to pay up

Dear linkers
I have spoken to Robin who had a very successful time with the ABA in Sydney
and will be reporting back to the list shortly. Thanks to all those who
promised money to cover the costs. I have promises totalling $500 which
will just comfortably cover the air fare ($419:40) and one nights
accomodation ($75). Robin stayed over in order to talk to some people about
cable modems - not strictly part of the ABA work but I believe we should
cover this in lieu of the several weeks of unpaid time he has put into the
project. Robin will include information from this in his report back to link.

How to pay: My preferred mechanism is for all those who promised money to
send a cheque made out to Jack Gilding to PO Box 9, Flinders Lane Post
Office, Melbourne VIC 3000 (not 3001 !) I have already paid for the air
fare and will reimburse Robin for the accomodation.

If your donation is to be anonymous, include a 'nom de keyboard' / alias
which I can use to identify your donation - I will put out a list of all
donations for accountability purposes. Contact me if you do not have access
to a cheque account and want to use an alternative arrangement. I do have a
list of all offers, and will chase people individually in a couple of weeks
if I havent heard from you, but it seems easier just to put out an initial
message to the whole list.

Thanks again for all contributions. I found the whole exercise a
fascinating example of the organising ability of virtual communities!
