Can I recommend the CFP96 format as it was designed to maintain diversity
in the presentations and discussions rather than force concensus. I think
that is one reason so many people with different levels of understanding
and interests were able to participate - the Chairman's instructions to
panel organisers were to throw 'light not heat' on the topics - and the
speakers did.
