Not HTML on its own. HTML + CGI for sure. I fully agree that using
Javascript for a menu button in Ikea's example is unnecessary. But we
can forgive a design-oriented company for focussing on appearance and a
minimalist site design so reminiscent of its own products.
The problem is that Ikea also missed the opportunity to be useful to
those who *can* handle Javascript. Other than the name and picture of
the object, I get no other information, such as dimensions, for
starters. I would have to go to the local franchise operation (or use
the phone) to find out more.
