Why does 3-months go so quickly?

Perhaps working within a projet management framework (see www.pmi.org)...
where actual installation and configuration of the IP phones may well be the
shortest- duration task.

3-months is pretty good really... even excluding project management,
planning and stakeholder involvement... baselining, design, procurement and
implementation of the supporting network to ensure requisite QoS may easily
take 3-months for some organisations.

Actually, if considering implementation is 'go-to-whoa' a $400,000 project
would take at least a month just for the open tendering process - they must
have had a decent statement of requirement to encourage reasonable tender
responses.

... think 9-months from executive actually wanting it being used live.
