Aren't we?

Statistics I heard recently:
There are currently 23 million refugees in the world (0.38% of world's
population).
Half of these are children

Australia currently accepts 12,000 refugees a year (0.06% of Australias
population)

If a refugee manages to make it to the Australian embassy in India, and
manages to fill in the forms and puts them in the envelope, it will
currently be 18 months before the envelope is opened so the application
can be assessed.

There are currently 80,000 illegal imigrants in Australia who come from
Britain. Pratically nothing is being done to stop such people entering
or overstaying their welcome.

Yet are the people of Australia complaining about it?

Regards
Gordon
