Tamara,
You are right, I have received lots of replies to my queries which have all been very helpful and given me lots to think about. I don't know of any particularly special resources on this topic, I have just been reading the papers and I have looked on the ALP's web site. There is a book by Barry Jones called Sleepers' Wake! Technology and the Future of Work, I think it was published about 1995 and I gather the Knowledge Nation plan is based on these earlier ideas. I'm sorry to say I have not read it (you know how it is, trying to fit in study and work as well). With regard to what exactly I'm studying, I'm doing Information Management and Systems (LI Stream). The LIS subjects are the librarianship subjects, which will maybe give you a better idea of what I'm doing than the name of the course. I realise knowledge nation has absolutely nothing to do with my studies, I just became interested in it that's all. I won't bug anyone with more questions, I've been trying to find an active library-related discu
ssion group and can't find one.
Many thanks, Penny.
