Linkers,
Thank you to those who have expressed a willingness to respond to my queries regarding a knowledge nation, all replies are greatly appreciated. I will continue to ask a few more questions and welcome any comments if you have them. The knowledge nation seems to me to transcend politics, though politics seems the obvious platform to implement such a plan. The benefits of a knowledge economy seem to me to be long-term, which I find interesting because in my limited experience political parties tend to focus on short term gains. Are there short-term advantages of a knowledge economy, and are they different from the long term benefits?
Kind regards, Penny Bawden.
