Hi Linda

For more information, there is a new representation for IT workers being
developed by the Labor Council of NSW. This will initially consist of a new
web site and forum, linked with existing unions and professional
associations such as APESMA and CPSU. It's being led by Michael Gadiel at
the Labor Council.

During the recent One.Tel fiasco, the CPSU, led by Stephen Jones, did a
superb job of securing One.Tel workers' entitlements, which would otherwise
have been lost. This activity apparently made a lot of workers in those sort
of companies see new value in being organised.
