Whether or not it's a bad thing depends on the problem we're trying to
solve.
If (in the name of workforce planning) we're trying to train programmers so
that we can fill gaps in the market, then this is not a good thing. Two
stories in today's Oz point to the problems in getting the right result from
vocational IT training.
