Of course. And then marketing people who will walk up to you in shopping
centers and say "Hi Eric, you (add favorite activity here) last week and
we'd like to talk to you about that." Or what about people in the Chemists
running out as you walk by saying "We can fill Dr. XYZ's prescription you
got an hour ago here right now Eric."

And Police loading up fraudulent data into "wanted" databases and other
police innocently walking around the streets getting loud 1kHz beeping
sounds on direction finders pointing at YOU for crimes you could never have
committed because you were sleeping with your wife at the time.

Yeah, I can see how wonderful it will be.

No doubt, it will take us all of 7 minutes to write a crack for the
"cards." I know the chipset being used for the "proximity" part, it's got
a range of 50 meters, very accurate. I've been testing them on my kids
:) Using four receivers around the house, I can pinpoint their location
with reasonable accuracy. What's even more interesting is that the range
can be extended. I buy the TX/RX pairs for around $6. Which is a damn
cheap Proximity ID system, however, it works for whoever is holding the
"device." Mine is the size of a car remote control, but only because I
have a temperature sensor and few other things on it :)

Anyway, I'll stick with Cash! If it's one thing I've learnt since the
kidnapping of my kid - cash counts. It also makes you invisible.

And if you want to leave a trail of deception, you your ATM card great
distances from where you really want to be :)

BTW the Census will be out by at least 6 people this year :) We weren't in
a residence at all on Tuesday :) And I know two other people who didn't
like the form either.

When I asked the census collector what to do about it, they had no
idea. So I guess our Aboriginal Nomadic lifestyle doesn't meet the
criteria for being part of Australian Society.

My only question is - how many people with intelligence would actually fill
it in with any accuracy?

Look at the ISP survey done by the ABS every quarter. It's figures are
totally laughable.
