Subject: [defaced-commentary] VeriSign Japan defaced

On August 4, 2001, the Japanese site for VeriSign Inc. was compromised and
defaced by a group known as "Delta Force Pakistan".
Visitors to the site were greeted with a picture of a stone angel and the
name of the group instead of VeriSign's regular page. Given the nature of
VeriSign's business, the defacers had a chance to make a good statement
about the state of net security and trust. Unfortunately, they were only
able to muster up a page for the typical petty dick-waving with no real
message.
