Yes, there is. Unix refers to operating systems that contain code
from AT&T's line (usually SVR4 these days); *nix covers Unix and Unix
clones, such as systems based on the Linux kernel and the various
BSDs. QNX with the POSIX subsystems added might even qualify here.
