I tend to agree with you. After using the ATO's E-BAS system for one
quarter, this quarter the upgrade has been a pain. The software still
isn't running, fortunately I posted a hard copy to the Tax office a week
befor the deadline for lodging quarterly BASes and three days after
receiving no response from the help desk. We're still working on getting
the e-bas for quarter four working. I'm seriously thinking of requesting
a reversion to paper lodgement next quarter. Perhaps a senate enquiry
into the cost of implementing the Electronic lodgement of the BAS and
how many people are actually using it would be interesting.
