You wrote "I'm a little confused as to entities David Goldstein

???"

What's to be confused about? He's probably using a 'private' address so
that there are no concerns that he's necessarily representing the
Communications Law Centre. (ComsLaw by the way is not part of the federal
bureaucracy. Like the EFA it probably does not have a $5M budget and would
love a donation). He's posted from outside Australia on occasion, so the
@yahoo address is presumably convenient if he's not in the office.

Having read his postings on several groups over several years I figure he
has a mind of his own.

Like Tony Barry he's one of the people who keep LINK alive by consistently
posting information from a wide range of sources. Like Tony he's posted
items with which he might not agree but are of interest to readers.

More strength to him - without that openness LINK will soon become just a
cosy gathering of the true believers, punctuated by advertorial from a few
figures

It's sad that people talk loudly and at length about free speech,
cyberdemocracy, online community building but are reluctant to respect
differing views. Likewise to acknowledge that some policy questions aren't
black and white. Likewise to acknowledge that opponents' views might be
both well informed and independent of personal gain. There's a difference
between "robust debate" and misrepresentation or bullying.

Let's hear what David has to say and not fret too much about whether
there's $5M in your pocket or his. (I checked a moment ago and - alas -
it's definitely not in mine)
