Prospective undergraduate students wishing to be considered under the
Indigenous Australian Admission Scheme should apply for admission to
the University through the University Admissions Centre (UAC) following
the standard application procedures outlined in Admission.
In addition, you will need to complete a Supplementary
Form - Indigenous Australian Admission Scheme and send it to the
Jabal Centre by 30 October
for First Semester enrolment, or 30 May for Second
Semester enrolment.
Once your application to the University and your Supplementary Form
has been received, all applicants for the admission scheme are interviewed
and complete assessment tasks, which may involve reading, writing and
listening skills. This process is conducted over two or three days and
will mean that you will need to attend the University campus in Canberra.
A committee then reviews your application, taking into account any
previous studies at secondary or tertiary level that you have undertaken.
The committee will also consider your previous work experience and references
during the selection process.
The University will contact you by letter if you are successful in
your application and will send you further information on enrolment
and orientation at that time.
