The I2S Network and the Australian Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988

We subscribe to the principles of the Privacy Act 1988 (The Act is available from ComLaw: http://www.comlaw.gov.au/). The Integration and Implementation Sciences team recognises that your privacy is important to you and that we are under a legal obligation to protect the integrity of your personal information.

Collection of information

When you register to join the Integration and Implementation Sciences Network, we ask you for a range of details. A general overview of the main fields we request information on is detailed in the first column of the table immediately below. The second column in the table details if the field is required for your membership to be validated. Most of the information you provide is intended to be made public on a database of I2S Network members ('Profile' on database). If you wish to provide information, but do not want it to be publicly available, the registration form provides this option. You will need to click 'No" for each response you wish to be kept private under "allow other people...". The information will then only be available to the I2S Network team. There are a few questions on the membership registration form that are solely for the use of the I2S Network team. The answers to the questions on what you might contribute to I2S will be used by the team to develop further activities and your participation may be invited.

All information you supply when registering will be used only for the purposes of running the Integration and Implementation Sciences Network and will not be divulged to third parties without your consent or unless required by law.

Dissemination of information

We will not give any of the information you submit, the IP (Internet Protocol) address of your computer or browser details to any advertisers or use it to send you unsolicited information or spam.

Security of the information you submit to the Integration and Implementation Sciences Network

We will take all reasonable steps to keep your personal information secure. Your information is held on a secure server that is in controlled facilities. All staff on the Integration and Implementation Sciences team, as well as ANU employees and contractors that provide services related to our information systems, are obliged by law to respect the confidentiality of any personal information and/or research information held by the Integration and Implementation Sciences Network.

Communicating with you

From time to time we will send updates about developments in Integration and Implementation Sciences. Once these become a regular feature, you will have the option to not receive updates and they will be available on the website. There will also be very occasional emails about your profile, such as an annual reminder to update your profile.

Updating the privacy and disclaimer notice

The Integration and Implementation Sciences team may update its privacy and disclaimer policy from time to time. If such an update has a significant impact on the way we handle any information you have provided, we will notify you by email plus put a note that we have updated the policy on this site.

Altering or removing your profile details

Members of the Integration and Implementation Sciences Network may modify or remove any of the information they have previously submitted at any time using the menu button update your profile.
