The annual HRC theme for 1993 was "Sexualities & Culture", which offered a cultural study of sexualities ranging across a wide interdisciplinary spectrum. Jane Gallop, Distinguished Professor of English and Comparative Literature at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, was invited as the guest of the HRC to present a seminar based on her work, which was held in June 1993. This volume is the compilation of the papers presented in that seminar.
