About the Freilich Foundation

The Freilich Foundation exists for the study of, and research into, the causes, the histories and the effects of ethnic, cultural, religious and sexual bigotry and animosity, and the exploration of how such intolerance can be combatted - and co-existence promoted - by educational and social programs.

Formally established in July 1999, and part of the Humanities Research Centre of the Australian National University, the Freilich Foundation runs a range of lectures, conferences and seminars, all of which are open to the public. The Foundation also runs programs for schools.
