Dr Emlyn Williams

Qualifications: PhD mathematical statistics (University of Edinburgh, UK), AStat E-mail: emlyn.williams(at)anu.edu.au Telephone: 6125 0562 Background: Dr Emlyn Williams is an accredited statistician with a PhD in Mathematical Statistics from the University of Edinburgh. He worked as a statistical consultant with CSIRO for 35 years before joining the SCU in 2006. He has wide experience in the application of statistical methods and has published over 100 journal articles and 2 books. His main areas of research interest are in the design and analysis of experiments and the development of mixed models for use in practice. He has given many short courses in Australia and overseas with a focus on statistical training in conjunction with computer packages. He has served on the Central Council of the International Biometric Society and is currently an Associate Editor for the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Statistics.
