ALAN SARGESON MERIT SCHOLARSHIP IN CHEMICAL
SCIENCES (RSC)
(SUPPLEMENTARY SCHOLARSHIP)
The purpose of this scholarship is to attract
Australian and New Zealand students of high calibre to pursue postgraduate
research within the Research School of Chemistry and the Department of
Chemistry. The scholarship provides for payment of a supplementary stipend to
an outstanding holder of an APA or ANU PhD Scholarship or other stipend
allowance scholarship for the duration of that scholarship.

ANU VICE-CHANCELLOR'S SCHOLARSHIP FOR DOCTORAL STUDY
The ANU Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship for Doctoral Study is a highly prestigious scholarship offered to the highest ranking eligible applicant in each of the ANU Colleges. It is normal
for recipients to undertake study on a full-time basis. However, in accordance
with strict criteria, the scholarship may be awarded for part-time study.
Stipend: A$25,000.00
(2009 rate) per annum tax free, in fortnightly payments
Other Benefits: Research Support ($15,000 per annum provided to the college in which the scholar is enrolled to support their research); travel to

ANU
GLENN SANECKI ALPINE SCHOLARSHIP
The Fenner School of Environment and Society at the Australian National University and the NSW Department of Environment and Climate Change (DECC) is seeking applications for the Glenn Sanecki Alpine Scholarship. The scholarship is to support a PhD student undertaking research in the field of the physical or biological sciences in the alpine and sub-alpine areas of Kosciuszko National Park, or in, or partly in, other alpine/sub-alpine areas of Australia (subject to agreement with ANU and DECC). All topic ideas within this remit will be considered. Alternatively, ANU and DECC have identified the area of the effects of climate change on rabbit and hare populations in a sub-alpine/alpine environment as a potential study topic. least upper second-class honours, or equivalent prior studies including some

application form, as well as the Postgraduate Coursework Application Form for
Local Students. Some ANU coursework programs require application through the

PHD SCHOLARSHIPS IN THE ECONOMIC ANALYSIS OF RURAL-URBAN MIGRATION IN CHINA AND INDONESIA
The
Rural-Urban Migration in China and Indonesia project was established to investigate the impacts of internal migration within China and Indonesia. In particular the investigation is focussed on the collection of data through five year longitudinal surveys in China and Indonesia and the use of these data to answer questions regarding migrations impact on income mobility, poverty alleviation, the education, health and nutrition of children of migrant workers, and the assimilation of migrant workers into the city. The project is supported by funding from the Australian Research Council, AusAID, the Ford Foundation and several other sources at the Australian National University. Stipend: A$24,650
per annum tax free
