These Guidelines are based on the Doctor of Philosophy Rules; GDC Paper 2988B/1987 (rev. 1996), Supervision of PhD Students; and Paper 725/1995, Operating Procedures of the Graduate Research School. The Guidelines follow the framework of the latest Australian Vice-Chancellors' Committee Code of Practice for Maintaining and Monitoring Quality and Standards in Higher Degrees.
