Over six and a half weeks in September and October, 42 student callers from across the University were busy calling alumni to share news about what's happening on campus, discuss ways for alumni to stay connected to the University and to ask for support of The ANU Fund.
Thanks to the generosity of the alumni community the 2016 Phone Appeal was the most successful conducted by the University. The appeal raised $120,128 in pledged gifts to support The ANU Fund and the Konzo Prevention Fund, a clear demonstration of the generosity of alumni and friends of the University.
For the first time, alumni living in the United States received a call as well as recent graduates and those who graduated in the 1950s and 60s. The response from these alumni was incredibly positive.
Over the course of the Appeal, ANU student callers had 4,782 conversations with alumni and friends. These conversations resulted in 813 pledged gifts.
Support for The ANU Fund continues to grow, with donations contributing to scholarships and prizes, teaching facilities, campus activities and innovative research that continues to push boundaries.
