Fire Safety Training

The Australian national University policy states that all University buildings will have a Emergency Control Organisation (ie a Fire Warden structure). The policy also requires that all members of an ECO be appropriately trained. This training includes:
  • Work Place Emergency Response
  • Use of fire equipment including fire extinguishers, hose reels and early warning systems
  • Legislative Requirements
  • Emergency Evacuation Exercises
This training is conducted by the ANU Fire Safety Section. Training can be arranged by contacting the Section on Ph 6125 2612 or by email: Fire.Safety@anu.edu.au

The Fire Safety Section, in conjunction with the OH&S Unit, coordinates training in the handling and storage of flammable liquids. This training can also be arranged through the Fire Safety Section or the OH&S Unit.
