Surveying the Quality of Life in Wuhan City, China

This presentation will summarise the development and current situation of quality of life research in China. Professor Zhou will introduce a survey on subjective quality of life conducted in Wuhan City and theoretical framework and methodology of this research will be considered. Finally, the perspectives of quality of life studies in China will be explored. 

About the Speaker

Changcheng Zhou, PhD, is the Luojia Distinguished Professor of Wuhan University and the Director of Center for Quality of Life Studies at Wuhan University. His research interests include economic sociology, social development and quality of life, and the sociology of transitional societies.

After the Seminar

To allow for informal discussion, the seminar will be followed by a dinner with the guest speaker at 6:15pm. The location of the restaurant will be announced at the seminar. All are welcome, though those who attend will need to pay for their own food and drinks.
