Science in ACTion

Science in ACTion will combine the energy and excitement of National Science Week in one location.

Melville Hall will come alive with interactive displays and activities from premier science, technology, engineering and mathematics organisations in the ACT and surrounds.

Friday 15th August is a Science Careers Day for students looking to explore career opportunities and talk to potential employers.
School group bookings are essential:

Saturday 16th August is a Community Day where you can get hands on with dinosaurs, make things with Questacon, find out more about the amazing lives of parasites, explore aeromodelling, Indigenous storytelling, telecommunications and much, much more!

A short walk away, the Manning Clarke theatres will host talks, discussions and entertaining science shows for all ages.
Meet an Astronaut - Saturday 16th August, 1-2pm
Dr Phil's Variety Show - Saturday 16th August, 2-3pm
Future Cop Saturday - 16th August, 3-4pm
Also hear from cartoonists, artists influenced by astrophysics,innovation in craft, research on the cutting edge, and much, much more!

There will be explosive science shows and littlest science lovers can meet some problem solving puppets.

With something for everyone, this is shaping up to be one of the biggest events in the ACT Science Week calendar!
