Psychological perspectives on the Israel-Palestine conflict

Professor Daniel Bar-Tal is a visiting Fellow at the ANU Research School of Psychology and a Branco Weiss Emeritus Professor of Research in Child Development and Education at the School of Education, Tel Aviv University. His research interest is in political and social psychology studying socio-psychological foundations of intractable conflicts and peace building, as well as development of political understanding among children and peace education.

Professor Daniel Bar-Tal will explore how a political and social psychology approach can offer important insights into the situation in Israel-Palestine. This unique perspective will combine both social and political psychology frameworks and use them to analyse discourse on Israel-Palestine.
