HOUSE OF CARDS COMES TO CANBERRA
Authors of the best-selling book The Marmalade Files, Steve Lewis and Chris Uhlmann, are back and they’re inviting you to dinner.
Join Lewis and Uhlmann for a culinary and literary experience as they take you through the sticky details of their latest release The Mandarin Code.
Fiction proved stranger than fact in their first book, the political satire The Marmalade Files. With their follow-up, The Mandarin Code, the duo return to the murky underworld of Australian politics to once again lift a veil on the lust and lies lurking in the corridors of power.
Will life once again imitate art? Join us for a fun-filled evening celebrating these great Australian writers.
ABOUT THE AUTHORS:
Steve Lewis has been reporting politics in Canberra since 1992 and has survived the near collapse of the Fairfax media group, three prime ministers, Mark Latham and a career switch from The Financial Review to the News Ltd tabloids. Steve now writes freelance and works for Newgate Communications.
Chris Uhlmann is one of Australia's best-known and most respected political broadcasters. He was editor of the Canberra Weekly before joining the ABC in 1998. As political editor for ABC TV, and now host of ABC radio's flagship current affairs program AM, he has earned a reputation for his fearless pursuit of the nation's politicians.
Tickets are $49 and include a glass of house red or white wine, main course, shared dessert platter with fresh berries and tea and coffee.
