CLIMATE ACTION: How can the media play its part on the road to Katowice?

Filip Malinowski. Winner of the Academy Excellence Award for Fine Art. Co-owner & co-founder of Soleil Film, producer of several awarded feature documentaries and short films. Lecturer of production, cinematography and montage at universities in Austria since 2008.

Katharine Murphy is Guardian Australia's Political Editor. She has worked in Canberra's parliamentary gallery for 15 years. In 2008, she won the Paul Lyneham award for excellence in press gallery journalism, while in 2012 she was a Walkley award finalist in the best digital journalism category. 

Join appraised COP21 documentary Guardians of the Earth film-maker Filip Malinowski and Guardian Australia's political editor Katharine Murphy for an inside view of the tribulations of reporting on international climate negotiations and communicating the climate emergency. 

Hear from diplomats about what is at stake at COP24 in Katowice, Poland in December this year, where governments are to deliver on COP21 Paris Agreement promises.

The discussion will be introduced by H.E. Michael Pulch, Ambassador of the European Union to Australia and is part of the European Union's Climate Diplomacy Week 2018.
