ANU immunologist named Australia’s top scientist in 2008John Curtin School of Medical Research scientist awarded the Science Minister's Prize for Life Scientist of the Year... 15 December 2008 An ANU immunologist has been named Australia's top life scientist in 2008 for her work on the quality control of antibodies, which has helped uncover causes of autoimmune diseases like type 1 diabetes and lupus. Dr Carola Vinuesa, from The John Curtin School of Medical Research (JCSMR) at ANU, was awarded the Science Minister's Prize for Life Scientist of the Year at the Prime Minister's Prizes for Science.
