International Donors

UK based Benefactors

UK residents may receive full UK tax advantages for their donation by donating to the ANU (UK) Foundation.

USA and Canada based Benefactors

If you live in the USA or Canada, you may now receive full US tax benefits for your donation to The Australian National University, by donating via one of two US based charitable organisations: CAFAmerica or Give2Asia.

ANU is in the process of establishing the ANU Foundation USA, a 501(c)(3) company that will allow US based donors to support the University in a tax effective way.  The Foundation should be fully operational by the end of 2008.

CAFAmerica

CAFAmerica is a non-profit organisation which supports philanthropy around the world.  Donations of $US500 or more will be accepted via CAFAmerica to enable donors to support the many projects at The Australian National University.  To donate via CAFAmerica:

• Download and complete a donation form (cheques should be made out to CAFAmerica), or donate online.  If your wish is for the gift to be used for a particular project, ie Alumni Scholarship Fund, please indicate this on your form as 'The Australian National University – Alumni Scholarship Fund'.  Your suggestion of a grant to ANU will be considered by CAFAmerica's Board of Directors.
• Once you have sent your gift to CAFAmerica, we encourage you to notify us by email so that we can ensure your gift is processed and acknowledged as promptly as possible.
• CAFAmerica will issue you an official receipt of donation and confirmation of grant to The Australian National University, which you can use to claim full tax deductions under 501c(3) of the US tax code.
• The Australian Natonal University will send you a thank you letter acknowledging your generosity and confirming we received your gift.

Give2Asia

Give2Asia, a US non profit corporation founded by The Asia Foundation, works in partnership with The Asia Foundation to facilitate charitable giving between the United States or Canada and Asia.  Charitable gifts made in the US or Canada to Give2Asia may be recommended by donors for specific projects and activities at The Australian National University.  These donor advised grants are administered by The Asia Foundation on behalf of Give2Asia, and do not necessarily reflect the funding priorities of The Asia Foundation.  Donations of $5,000 or more will be accepted via Give2Asia to enable donors to support the many projects at The Australian National University.

To donate via Give2Asia download a gift form from their website.  If it is your wish that the gift be used for a particular project, ie Alumni Scholarship Fund, please indicate this on your form as 'The Australian National University - Alumni Scholarship Fund'.  Give2Asia is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organisation.

Once you have sent your gift to Give2Asia, we encourage you to notify us by email, so that we can ensure your gift is processed and acknowledged as promptly as possible.
