The Second Annual ANU Festival of Teaching will be held on 10 and 11 June 2009 in the HW Arndt Building and Copland Lecture Theatre. It will be opened by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ian Chubb AC, with keynote addresses from Professor Trevor Gale (Director, National Centre for Student Equity in Higher Education, UniSA); and Associate Professor Marnie Hughes Warrington (2008 winner Prime Minister’s Award for University Teacher of the Year). Vice-Chancellor’s Student Leadership ProgramStudents holding, or aspiring to hold, leadership positions in the ANU or wider community are invited to apply to participate in the Vice-Chancellor’s Leadership Program. Designed to develop the leadership skills and potential of undergraduate students, the program will includes presentations from leaders from within and beyond the ANU. The program will commence with a two-day intensive module in late July, followed by modules on Thursday evenings at two week intervals through August and September. Applications are invited from undergraduate students who have successfully completed at least one year of their academic program.
