This Award is an initiative of the 2009 PARSA President, Tegan Kelly; the Dean of Students, Prof Penny Oakes

and Prof Mandy Thomas, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research and Graduate Studies).

Nominations were invited from research students to highlight and celebrate supervisory excellence.

Hosted by Prof Mandy Thomas, the lunch was an opportunity for useful discussion,learning and resource development as well as celebration, and a chance for students and supervisors to speak of their experiences of research study and supervision.

41 Supervisors were nominated in 2009, the inaugural year of the Top Supervisor Award.
