Come and join the party!
All students, staff and their families are invited to celebrate 60 years of achievement and community at The Australian National University on the afternoon of Sunday 30 July 2006. Our diamond anniversary will be marked by a university-wide party, including food, music, sport, art, heritage, and new media events. Start the afternoon at Fellows Oval for a free lunch, live music, fun activities, and a staff-versus-students soccer match. Then enjoy music recitals, learn more about the heritage of ANU, visit an art exhibition, and see some of the University's 'Hidden Treasures'. Finally, cap off the celebrations by attending the Birthday Concert by Virtuosi.
The party begins Sunday 30 July
at 12.30pm on Fellows Oval
The Vice-Chancellor Professor Ian Chubb will open the afternoon of celebrations. There will be free food, fun activities for the young at heart with the Gecko Gang, wandering geishas, and live music by DRUMatiX and Kalybu Latin Band.
