2007 Lions Oratory Competition19 September 2007 Host: Claudia Newman-Martin The 13th Annual Lions Oratory Competition saw selected ANU students from across the University present eight-minute orations and compete for a part of the $2,000 in prize money donated by Lions. Hosted by 2007 president of the ANU Student Association, Claudia Newman-Martin and judged by an esteemed panel of public-speaking experts, the oratory saw speakers addressing a range of subjects incorporating the Lions' messages of truth, righteousness, peace, love and non-violence – the core values of all major religions.
