Topic: Welfare to Work Reforms:

What are the Changes and how will they Impact on People with Disabilities in Education, Training and Employment?

Speakers:

DEAN has organised some excellent speakers who have an in-depth knowledge about the new reforms. Gerard Thomas the Media and Policy Officer, National Welfare Rights Network (NWRN) has closely monitored the developments in this area. Gerard will provide a broad outline of the changes

Maryanne Diamond, CEO Australian Federation of Disability Organisations (AFDO) will specifically focus on the changes that will effect people with disabilities. Maryanne has extensive knowledge on the Welfare to Work reforms and has been presenting a number of state seminars on this topic. AFDO is Melbourne based and acts as the primary national voice to Government that fully represents the interests of all people with disability across Australia. .

We will also have a representative from Department of Workplace Relations and Centrelink who will be available to answer all your questions.

This is a unique opportunity to gain an understanding of these substantial changes prior to July 1 so come along for the day.
