Internet Art
An Internet art work is a work that employs online technologies and has been made specifically for the Internet as a creative medium. The Internet presents artists with the option of working with text, image, animation, video, sound, computer programming and interactivity. Internet art is often but not always interactive in nature and can take numerous forms; websites, hypermedia and hypertext, games, generative and procedural media, streaming audio and video, web cinema, networked narrative, net-poetry, networked installation, networked performance and sculpture, locative work, mobile media, and various hybrid forms. Internet Art overlaps with numerous media art genres such as software art, generative art, multimedia art, interactive art, and new media art.
