The Consortium of Research and Information Outreach (CRIO), a joint
initiative of the CCR and the Humanities Research Centre, provides an
intellectual environment and skill base for deploying new media towards
research in the humanities and social sciences. CRIO brings together,
in a formal relationship, leading multimedia researchers to enhance the
use of digital communication technologies in academic research and the
dissemination of information in these areas. It also aims to facilitate
the use of digital media formats by cultural institutions. It encompasses
shared facilities, infrastructure, and research programs.
