Standard Forms

Confidential Invention Disclosure

The Confidential Invention Disclosure is the official form by which inventions (IP with commercial potential) are disclosed and recorded. It was formerly known as the Record of Invention form. This allows the University to protect the IP and potentially exploit it for commercial profit. The Confidential Invention Disclosure may also be used to confirm the priority date for the invention in the event of disputes over patenting.

IP Policies

The ANU has enacted a number of IP Policies over the years. For reference, we provide access to past IP policies here. The current IP Policy was enacted in July 2010, and is available at http://policies/policies/intellectual_property/policy.

Material Transfer Agreements (ANU Staff only)

Please click here for access to standard MTA templates. Please note that these can only be accessed by members of the John Curtin School of Medical Research, the Research School of Biology or the Australian Phenomics Facility. If you require an MTA for research performed anywhere else in the university, please contact commercialisation@anu.edu.au.
