About Us
The Office of Commercialisation’s (OC) primary activities revolve around
assisting ANU researchers in the commercialisation of their research. The
Office is committed to providing a professional and timely service to all
researchers and industry partners; encouraging an outreach culture on campus
while promoting ANU’s capability at a global level.
The OC team has a well established record of dealing successfully with a
range of commercial clients in the various areas of contract research, IP
protection, licensing and company formation. The OC assists both ANU
researchers and the wider community (primarily industry and government) in the
following ways:
- To facilitate the nurturing, creation, development and maintenance of
productive relationships between:
- fellow researchers in the various Colleges across campus and their
external colleagues; and
- researchers and industry or government (or consortia thereof).
- The management of these relationships for the commercial benefit of all
parties
- The protection and subsequent management of the ANU’s intellectual
property assets
- Negotiation of various agreements to assist in the commercialisation of
ANU research
- Promotion and coordination of the development of commercial and
entrepreneurial skills around campus through training and education
