Last week marked a major milestone in the project to construct a new 500m2 commercial solar dish prototype at ANU. The completed dish frame was lifted from its jig.

The main remaining tasks will be to fit the dish frame to the base frame and install the mirrors. The engineering project team is aiming for a May 2009 finish.

Dr Keith Lovegrove from the ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science is leading the project.
