All ANU economists are warmly invited to attend the ANU Economics Showcase which will feature the breadth and depth of economics across the ANU campus.  The event will be held on Thursday 27 and Friday 28 November 2007 at the Coombs Lecture Theatre, H.C. Coombs Building (9). This forum will be of interest to economics policy makers, academic researchers, graduate students, and anyone contemplating studies in economics.

A highlight of the Economics Showcase will be the Trevor Swan Distinguished Lecture at 4.30 pm on Thursday 27 November.   Dr Martin Parkinson, Secretary of the Federal Department of  Climate Change, will be the guest speaker.

A separate Environmental Economics and Climate Change session will  be conducted between 1.20 pm and 4.00 pm on Thursday 27 November.  Other session topics include macroeconomics, applied microeconomics, economic theory, labour economics and development.

The conference is jointly presented by the College of Business and Economics, the College of Asia and the Pacific and the College of Arts and Social Sciences.
