Professional Background

Pascal is currently an Associated Professor at the Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies, The Australian National University. He is also a Graduate School lecturer with the Master of Applied Anthropology for the Development (MAAPD). He is the representative in Australia of his French research agency, Centre for International Research on Agriculture for Development

Co-Chair, Modelling and Decision Support Group, (CRTR project); Task Leader, Companion Modelling Evaluation project (ADD-ComMod); Chief Investigator, Integrated Modelling Group, (DPMP project); ARC-International Linkage Fellowship in 2002.

Research and Teaching Interests

Pascal is a specialist in Integrative Social Simulation, using Multi-Agent Systems technologies to explore complex and adaptive systems. He is the co-Convenor of the Agent Based Modelling Theme within the ARC funded, COSNet Network of Excellence. He is also Co-Chair of the Modelling and Decision Support Working Group within the Global Coral Reef Targeted Project (CRTR, World Bank).
