Welcome to HERITAGE Early Childhood Centre
Introduction
HERITAGE Early Childhood Centre provides high quality, flexible child care in a comfortable and secure family atmosphere. It is a small, community-based child care centre catering for 57 chlidren between 6 weeks and 6 years of age. Parents are welcome at the centre at all times as we encourage a parent-staff partnership and parent involvement in the centre's programs and management.
Accreditation
HERITAGE is a three year accredited centre, licensed by The Office of Childcare, Canberra.
Location
HERITAGE is located in Canberra at 75 Lennox Crossing, Acton, at the southern end of the Australian National University campus (close to Acton Peninsula).
Hours
The Centre operates Monday to Friday, 7.45m to 5.45pm. We close for public holidays and for two weeks over Christmas.
Staff ratios
The Centre is staffed by a team of qualified educators and a qualified Director. A low turnover of staff ensures a stable, caring environment for your child.
15 babies (6 weeks to 24 months) are cared for by a minimum of 4 educators
20 toddlers (18-36 months) are cared for by a minimum of 5 educators
22 preschoolers (36 months+) are cared for by a minimum of 3 educators
Curriculum
A warm and stimulating environment is created by the staff who aim to foster each child's development and growth through the provision of a program which is based on observations of each child's strengths and needs. Special programs offered by the Centre include Music, Yoga, Fit Beginnings and Preschool Program.
