Course outline

Topic that will be covered during the course include:

  • designing for tapestry
  • warping up the loom
  • weaving a sampler
  • weaving a major work
  • mounting and finishing off the major work

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course, you should:

  • be able to warp up a loom so that they can continue to weave independently
  • be able to weave a variety of techniques such as colour gradation, hatching, half passing and interpretation of a small design
  • finish a small sample piece and weave a larger mounted work.

Who should enrol

This course is open to everyone. All skill levels will be catered for.
