The CCE visual arts program offers interactive courses for the budding to experienced artists, from classic to modern techniques, in the areas of: photography, drawing, painting, woodwork, steelwork, ceramics, textiles and more.
Through the ANU School of Art and with the support of the ArtsACT this program offers classes in most of the visual arts.
Learn the traditional craft of tapestry weaving. For beginners to advanced - explore colours and textures as you learn to warp up the loom, weave shapes, blend yarns and interpret your deign.

Learning to weave and lace weaves
Enjoy adventures in weaving and create your own take-home project using the skills and techniques learned in this course. Beginners - discover the loom, a variety of fibres and four-shaft weave structures. Intermediate weavers - learn about woven lace structures such as huck, Bronson lace and mock leno, on eight-shaft table looms.

Weavers' summer school
The ANU School of Art Textiles Workshop is proud to offer the 10th Weavers summer school! This is an opportunity for intermediate and advanced weavers to use the workshop looms for a personal project. This can be for a finished piece or to engage in weave experimentation.
