The CCE visual arts program offers interactive courses for the budding to experienced artists, from classic to modern techniques, in the areas of: photography, drawing, painting, woodwork, steelwork, ceramics, textiles and more.
Through the ANU School of Art and with the support of the ArtsACT this program offers classes in most of the visual arts.
A journey in sculpture through armature making
Explore armature - the 3D framework or skeleton used to create greater pieces of sculpture, which are often intriguing artworks in their own right. Use a range of materials and techniques such as drawing, soldering wire, welding steel rods and plaster sculptures in this fascinating course.

Steel structures for everyone
In this introductory course, learn the equipment and processes associated with steel fabrication including mig welding, oxy-acetylene cutting, forging, and hand tools to design and construct a work using a selection of supplied steel formats.
